An epic celebration is planned to take place in Stockport in honour of Chinese New Year, featuring a wide range of activities and entertainment.
For five years following the pandemic, Stockport hasn’t been able to hold its Chinese New Year Celebrations. However, the long wait is over, and the Stockport Plaza is ready to honour the 2025 Lunar New Year once again.
Organisers of international events often use flyer printing services to create adverts in national colours, such as the red and yellow of China, to let the public know where and when activities are occurring.
The Year of the Snake event will take place in association with Jinlong Culture & Performing Arts, and promises an unforgettable line-up of programmes. Those attending will get a chance to see the illuminated 18-metre-long dragon on stage, along with many other popular animal performances like the Chinese lions and pandas. A King Fu display described as “Britain’s Best” will also be on show.
The event is family-friendly and designed for residents and visitors to Stockport of all ages to enjoy. Guest of the celebration will also find a selection of traditional food and drink to try from sellers onsite.
The Chinese New Year Celebration will now return to the Stockport Plaza on Sunday, February 9. The event will start at 2.30 pm and will run until 7 pm. The Plaza can be found in Mersey Square in Stockport.
