Stockport to celebrate British artist

A show dedicated to the birthday of one of Britain’s most iconic singers will take place in Stockport later this year.

Rod Stewart devotees in Stockport will be congregating at a local venue this autumn, as September will see the home of cinema and theatre in town celebrate Sir Rod’s 80th birthday, with a live musical tribute show called “Some Guys Have All The Luck – The Rod Stewart Story”.

Event venues hosting days dedicated to birthdays, anniversaries and other commemorative occasions sometimes work with professional poster printing services to create adds that call attention to specific dates.

The weekend show comes straight from the London’s West End and carries the coveted endorsement of Stewart’s family. It invites fans to take a musical odyssey that spans over 60 years from the performer’s early beginnings to becoming a world-famous pop-rock sensation. Each song is perfectly performed with stylish showmanship by accomplished frontman, Paul Metcalfe, backed by a band of skilled musicians.

Those attending will be treated to a showcase of Stewart’s best-known hits like ‘Baby Jane’, ‘Do Ya Think I’m Sexy’, ‘Sailing’ and ‘Tonight’s The Night’, to name but a few.

Some Guys Have All The Luck – The Rod Stewart Story will now be performed live on stage at The Plaza on Sunday, September 28. The venue can be found on Stockport’s Mersey Square and the show will kick off at 7.30 pm.
