The deal, which was secured by joint administrators following an appointment on 17 November, will secure all 39 jobs at the Greater Manchester firm. Service Graphics will now be able to take on all of the company’s capabilities, including large format banner printing and point of sale displays.
Two years ago, Cestrian Imaging was acquired by PFI Group, which endured a hard year owing to supply chain issues and increased costs. The company was one of several firms owned by PFI Grop which was placed in administration, including Sign Plus, the Scottish sign company. Anthony Collier, FRP partner and joint administrator, commented on the sale:
"We're pleased to have secured a buyer for the company and we'll continue to work with them to ensure a smooth transition for employees and customers. Unfortunately, the business has faced increasing pressures in recent months due to rising costs, meaning it was no longer able to meet its financial obligations.”
According to a UK Print Industry Report published by Soyang Europe, British Print businesses are broadening their offerings.
