Organisations in Stockport and the wider borough are being urged to sign up for an event to raise awareness of mental health issues that will take place next year.
This Mental Health Fair is being put together by ONE Stockport and it is calling on relevant organisations in the area to see if any are interested in getting involved. It is set to provide groups that work in the mental health field with an opportunity to make local people aware of what support, advice and services are available for people who need them.
The event will be entirely free to attend, with people able to drop in whenever it is convenient for them during the day. Both official organisations and community groups are being encouraged to create exhibitions for it by the NHS services in the area.
Graphic design outlets in Stockport can help with the advertising of one-off events of this sort, by providing designs for promotional Posters that will catch the eye of people in the borough.
The venue for this fair will be The Ballroom in Stockport Town Hall and any organisation that wants to take part can do so at no cost. It is hoped that a mix of statutory council and NHS services plus various voluntary organisations and groups will be represented.
