An act dedicated to one of the most famous bands to come out of Manchester in the 80s will soon play live at a Stockport bar.
Fans of The Smiths in Stockport can enjoy an accomplished band performing a tribute show in spring. Like the group they mimic, These Smiths are from Manchester and have played together live since 2015. They will now provide an authentic experience of what a concert from The Smiths was like in their glory days in the 1980s at popular Stockport nightspot, The Spinning Top Bar.
Venues like bars and nightclubs that host live music acts often employ flyer printing services to produce brightly coloured ads that grab attention and increase attendance at performances.
The band formed soon after their frontman Roy appeared on the ITV show “Stars In Their Eyes” as Morrissey. Joining him on stage are Zander as Johnny Marr on guitars and piano, Nigel as Andy Rourke on bass and Luke as Mike Joyce on drums and percussion. The band play a set-list that combines hits from the Smiths with classics by Morrissey in his solo career.
These Smiths will now perform live at The Spinning Top Bar on Saturday, March 15. The gig begins at 8.30 pm and the bar is based at 20 Wellington Road South in Stockport. Admission is charged at £13.20 per person.
