North West antiques staple set for Stockport

Some events are ‘flash in the pan’, while others come back year after year to a receptive audience.

The Stockport Town Hall Antiques Fair has been running for more than 45 years, and is renowned for the broad cross-section of stalls featuring retro and vintage items.

Collectors and antique enthusiasts from all over the North West are set to converge on Stockport Centre, where attendees of all ages can cast their eye over treasures from down the decades. Large-scale antique sellers and auctions can benefit from brochure printing to advertise items to potential buyers.

The fair isn’t just the place to go on a mission to unearth rare finds - there are also expected to be plenty of affordable items to take home - from furniture to art. The Antiques Boutique website wrote of the event:

“This fair presents a wide range of items available for purchase, catering to budgets ranging from just a few pounds to several hundred. This well-regarded and beloved fair occurs five times annually, earning its longevity through its exceptional atmosphere and reputation for offering great bargains.”

Stockport Town Hall Antiques Fair takes place at Stockport Town Hall on Saturday, 18th May, from 9.00am to 3.30pm. Tickets cost from £2 to £2.50 per person.

Refreshments will be served on-site in the cafe. There is parking available in the multi-storey car park next to the town hall on Lacy Street.
