The home furnishing giant IKEA has announced Plans to launch a brand new outlet in Stockport, although the exact date when the store will be open to the public has yet to be confirmed.
This Stockport branch is one of three that IKEA will be opening throughout the North West, with the other two being in Preston and Aintree. The company has stated that it will be a ‘Plan and Order Point’ and that there will be job opportunities for six people within it when it does open.
It is not the first time that IKEA has sought to set up shop in Stockport. The company applied to open a huge store there 15 years ago, at a location near the M60, but the move was blocked. The Plans appear to be more certain this time around though.
Quality poster printing in bulk from shops in Stockport can be a cost-effective and efficient way for stores to promote themselves within the local area when they initially open.
IKEA is indicating that these three new stores will be smaller outlets than the one it hoped to launch in 2007, with a focus on wardrobe and custom kitchen designs. A spokesperson for the firm added that the plan was for them to complement its bigger outlets.
The Stockport store could open its doors sometime before Christmas.
