Summer gin festival makes return to Sheffield

Sheffield will once more welcome a festival celebrating gin this summer.

The Kelham Island Museum dedicated to the history of the city’s steelmaking industry will open its doors again to a special event for gin lovers across the UK. The venue on Alma Street in Sheffield will host the Gin Fever Festival, returning now for its third year.

Those attending will be welcomed with a complimentary gin and tonic and a guidebook outlining the event itinerary. Promoters and festival organisers can sometimes hand out branded Promotional Products to delegates, giving them a collectable keepsake to carry home from events. Suppliers and experts will be present on the day hosting tasting masterclasses.

Eight gin bars will be based in the unique industrial surrounds of the museum’s main hall. From locally sourced gins found in the UK, to select labels from across the globe, plenty of tipples will be available to tempt attendees. Those seeking a snack to accompany their gin cocktails can step out into the museum courtyard where street vendors will be on site. Festival goers after a bottle to buy can also find their favourite at the pop-up Gin Shop.

The event will be accompanied with live music throughout the day and into the night.

The Sheffield Gin Fever Festival will be held on Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27.
