A Liverpool rock group that enjoyed significant success in the 80s will play in Sheffield for a springtime gig.
March will see Sheffield City Hall present English rockers Echo & the Bunnymen live on stage. The acclaimed group will be performing a single-night show at the venue as part of a 2024 national tour.

Echo & the Bunnymen formed back in 1978 with frontman Ian McCulloch, Les Pattinson on bass and Will Sergeant on guitar. By 1980, the band’s core line-up was completed when Pete de Freitas signed up to play drums. That year, they released “Crocodiles” their debut which entered the UK’s top 20 Album Chart. However, it was their third album “Porcupine” which earned them critical success with Top 10 singles like “The Cutter” and “Killing Moon”.
After substantial line-up changes the group disbanded back in 1993 but reformed in 1997 for the album “Evergreen”. The recording featured the three founding members of the group who will now appear at the Sheffield event.
Echo & The Bunnymen will perform live at Sheffield City Hall on Tuesday, March 19. The venue is based at Barker's Pool in Sheffield City Centre and the gig will start at 6.30 pm and end at 10.30 pm.
