A celebrated British pianist will be playing live for Sheffield audiences this autumn accompanied by his orchestra.
UK music icon Jools Holland will be taking to the stage in Sheffield this coming November with his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra. The single-night performance is presented by Sheffield City Hall, and will feature the former Squeeze band member and TV personality’s own style of boogie-woogie for attendees to enjoy.

Holland formed the orchestra back in 1994, and today it consists of a 20-piece band featuring multiple instrumentalists playing piano, drums, organ, bass guitar, electric guitar, saxophones, trombones and trumpets, alongside female vocalists.
After meeting in the ‘70s, Holland launched the successful band Squeeze with Glenn Tilbrook, Chris Difford and drummer Gilson Lavis. In the late ‘80s, Holland and Lavis formed a new outfit called The Jools Holland Big Band, which expanded over time into the 20-piece orchestra fans know and love today.
Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra will be performing live at Sheffield City Hall on Wednesday 29th November. The venue is based in Barker's Pool in the city centre of Sheffield, and the show is set to commence at 6.30pm.
