Sheffield to host seafood masterclass

A celebrated restaurant in Sheffield will soon host a crash course in the basics of seafood cookery.

Well-known for providing dine-in and takeaway options, the Sheffield-based Blend Kitchen is offering a unique opportunity to budding chefs across the city. As part of its ongoing “Chef’s Counter” cooking classes, the popular restaurant will be hosting a basic course in preparing and cooking seafood dishes, combined with a dining experience.

Restaurants and bars holding unique opportunities like tasting sessions and cooking classes sometimes use professional brochure printing services to create attractive Booklets outlining what is involved.

The event will allow attendees to prepare a series of fish and seafood dishes on the day. Led by Blend Kitchen’s chef, guests will prepare three different dishes before sitting down to enjoy them together.

The first dish is tuna tartar, which involves a tuna loin marinated in ginger, lime, soy and served with coriander, pickled cucumber and wasabi, followed by steamed Scottish mussels in a cream sauce infused with garlic, white wine and parsley. The last dish of the evening is sea bass, which will be baked in parchment with lime and chilli butter on a bed of wilted greens.

The Chef’s Counter seafood cooking class will take place at Blend Kitchen, based at Wards Exchange, 197 Ecclesall Road in Sheffield on Tuesday, September 7 from 7 pm until 8 pm.
