An upcoming event in Sheffield is set honour the wide variety of beers and ciders produced across the length and breadth of the country.
This October, Sheffield will host a returning event for the area known as the Steel City Beer & Cider Festival. Over four days, the special occasion, dedicated to some of Britain’s favourite brewed beverages, will feature a wide range of drinks and entertainment.
The event has been organised by CAMRA, the UK’s “Campaign for Real Ale,” and it has ensured that beers offered at the festival will be of the highest quality from hand-selected producers around the UK. A diverse range of styles across keg, cask, can and bottle will be available, along with traditional types from mild and brown ale to bitter and stout. There will also be sours and India pale ales (IPAs). A selection of cider and perry (fermented pear cider) will also be poured, along with soft drinks for designated drivers.
Vendors and brewery reps will also be present to talk about their brands. Companies exhibiting at local festivals sometime give out branded Promotional Products to attendees. The event will also have traditional pub games, street food and live musical performances.
The Steel City Beer and Cider Festival will be held at the Kelham Island Museum, located on Alma Street in Sheffield, from Wednesday, October 19 to Saturday, October 22.
