After next week's Migration Matters festival, the theatre will move into the vacant premises next to the former Staples building on Eyre Street. It is due to re-open in the autumn.
The relocation would be a great excuse for a promotional campaign. They will likely utilise a mix of personal and corporate promotional items, such as newsletter printing and branded office Stationery.
Theatre Delicatessen has breathed life into The Moor. However, the premises is being prepared for the area's third phase of redevelopment. A yet unnamed retail chain will be moving in when the redevelopment is finalised in 2019.
The theatre's producer, Sarah Sharp, said:
“It was never going to be a permanent building for us and The Moor has been transformed while we’ve been here. When we signed it was supposed to be for nine months and we’re still here two-and-a-half years later."
The theatre will benefit from a large space on the ground floor, as well as a studio. However, they are looking for another solution in the long-term. Sarah suggested that a building in Castlegate that was once home to Yorkshire Bank is an option.
However, a section of the property is leased until 2022. Furthermore, Sarah and company have experienced difficulties in making contact with the landlord to discuss the matter.Get a Free Quote for Stationery
