The city of Sheffield will play host to an open-air event entitled ‘Art in the Gardens’ this September.
The outdoor art exhibition is one of the largest of its kind in Northern England and gathers together craftsmen, Print-makers, artisans and visitors from all over the UK.
The weekend event will be held at the Sheffield Botanical Gardens, off Ecclesall Road, and provides a unique opportunity for attendees to purchase an object of art directly from the artists who created them, whilst at a beautiful location. Those visiting the exhibition will be able to pick from thousands of original pieces of art and craft on show that are ready to buy. Artists sometimes include Business Cards with works they sell to customers, in order to encourage repeat sales.
Other highlights of the art exhibition will include the home and garden showcase, outdoor sculptures, performing arts, a display of works by young local artists, children’s art activities and the ‘Portrait of Distinction’ competition.
