Indoor track action returns to Sheffield

An action-packed afternoon is planned for Sheffield featuring indoor track and field events.

Entitled the Masters Grand Prix, the indoor sporting event invites track enthusiasts to come down and cheer on the athletes. Set a month prior to the European Masters Indoors, which will be held in Portugal this March, the event is popular with athletes seeking a tune-up in preparation.

Regardless of whether those joining in are a member of the Masters athletics club, anyone aged 35 and over is allowed to compete. From novice to expert, people of all ability levels are invited to try out their skills or just have fun.

Promoters of local sporting events can make use of poster printing services to attract members of the public to get involved.

The afternoon event will take place at the English Institute of Sport on Coleridge Road. Seating is available for hundreds of spectators at the venue and there are plenty of options for snacks and refreshments. A selection of vending machines are provided along with a small cafe inside the venue.

While the athletics is free to spectators, those wishing to enter events must pay an entry fee. Entry for a single event costs £8, with subsequent events charged at £4 each. A tri-event ticket is also available for £15.

The Masters Grand Prix will take place on Saturday, February 8 with events kicking off at 1:15pm.
