A large audience applauded the recipients of the Sheffield Business Awards (SBA) this year.
More than 900 individuals went to the gala event. Luxury Business Cards from Sheffield may be used for networking purposes. Celebrity Harry Gration, from BBC Look North, announced the names of the victors on the night.
Promotion of the SBA on the media front was carried out by The Star. The Sheffield Chamber of Commerce took on some of the organisational work that enabled the occasion to go ahead.
About 150 organisations and individuals entered the competition. This record entry ensured that the experience was a lively one for all concerned.
The business school at Sheffield Hallam University got behind the awards. The Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and City Taxis also played a major role in sponsoring the prestigious event. However, the main sponsor of the SBA this time around was the Elevation Recruitment Group, which has been the headline sponsor for the event on numerous occasions. Doncaster Sheffield Airport sponsored the drinks at the reception.
Doordeals Ltd was judged to be the ‘SME of the Year’ in the category sponsored by the business school based at Sheffield Hallam University. Reach Homes CIC was awarded the prize of ‘Outstanding Business of the Year’ in the category sponsored by City Taxis.
