In a special show to celebrate 100 years on the ice, Sheffield will host the celebrated Disney On Ice experience next month.
In a skilful exhibition titled ‘Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of magic’ expert skaters will perform scenes and songs from a compilation of Walt Disney Classics to mark the anniversary.
The Disney On Ice Logo Design suitably features the famous Mickey Mouse wearing ice skates, who along with over 50 other characters can be seen in the show. Familiar faces such as Goofy, Donald Duck and Minnie Mouse will be joined by Disney Princesses including Cinderella, Jasmine, Ariel, Rapunzel and Snow White. Characters from the Disney-owned Pixar will also be present, including Toy Story legends Woody and Buzz. No ice show would be complete without Frozen favourites Elsa and Anna, with comic relief from Olaf the snowman.
The ice skating spectacle will be held at the FlyDSA Arena, home to the Sheffield Steelers ice hockey team on Broughton Lane.
Guests will also hear musical numbers like Lion King’s “Hakuna Matata” and Toy Story’s “You’ve Got a Friend in Me”, and witness a host of scenes acted out on ice from box-office hits Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast.
This celebration of winder wonder will start at 5:30 pm on Friday, November 8.
