Steel City will be welcoming a renowned Wolverhampton rock band to the stage this December as part of their seasonal UK tour to usher in Christmas.

Thanks to their classic number one hit “Merry Xmas Everybody”, English rockers Slade have become synonymous with the festive season. Now, as the band travels around the UK this winter, they will be stopping off in Sheffield for a headline show at the Foundry.

Live music venues in UK cities often depend on expert flyer printing services during the festive season to create Christmas-themed adverts featuring motifs like snowflakes and mistletoe for their shows.

After forming in Wolverhampton back in 1966, Slade took the UK charts by storm with record breaking success in the glam rock era. During the early 1970s, the rock group achieved 17 top 20 hits in a row and accrued six number one tracks in the Singles Chart. These extraordinary sales of single records have seen them recognised at Britain’s most successful band of the 70s.

All of Slade’s hits that topped the charts were written by Jim Lea and Noddy Holder.

Slade will now perform live on stage at the Foundry at Sheffield University’s Student Union on Saturday, December 16. The venue is located at Western Bank in Broomhall, Sheffield and the show will start at 7pm, ending at 10pm.
