Celebrated UK artist headed for Sheffield

Sheffield is ready to welcome back a UK performer renowned for his performances on stage and television and his hit pop songs.

For many years, composer, singer and actor David Essex has not embarked on a major tour here in Britain. Now, music lovers from all over Sheffield will have the chance to see him take to the stage once more as he stops by the city on a new series of concert dates across the UK.

Originally born David Cook, the artist created his professional name from his place of birth. He first rose to fame during the 70s with multiple movie appearances and self-written tracks. With close to 20 hits here in the British Top 40, he has also achieved international acclaim for the singles and albums he has released.

Those coming to the upcoming gig in Sheffield will be able to appreciate a wide array of Essex’s favourites, like his number ones here in the UK, “Hold Me Close” and “Gonna Make You a Star”, and classics such as “Rock On”. Live music promoters can sometimes employ poster printing services to create adverts for the events they host.

Commenting on the upcoming “I’ll Be Missing You” tour, Essex stated:

“I’ve had so many requests to tour again, so I’ve decided to do one more tour.”

David Essex will perform at Sheffield City Hall on Wednesday, September 8, from 6.30pm until 10.30pm.
