An iconic band who rose to fame on the Britpop music scene are reforming for a UK tour this summer which will include two concerts in their hometown of Sheffield.
Sheffield sons Pulp are returning to the city this July to play two consecutive gigs at the Utilita Arena. Commonly regarded as one of Britpop’s big four alongside Oasis, Suede and Blur, Pulp have reformed to delight fans with a two-hour set featuring strong support from former guitarist Richard Hawley.

While Pulp formed in Sheffield back in 1978, they enjoyed new recognition in the mid-90s with albums like “Different Class” which spawned the hit single “Common People”. The 2023 UK tour was first hinted at by frontman Jarvis Cocker on Instagram in a cryptic post and later confirmed as a series of reunion concerts across the country.
Those attending the gigs will get a chance to hear a host of Pulp classics which may include “Disco 2000” and “Babies”.
Pulp will now perform live at the Utilita Arena Sheffield on Friday, July 14 and Saturday, July 15, with support from Richard Hawley.
