King's Lynn welcomes rock royalty

Mercury, a tribute to Queen, is due to make a stopover in King's Lynn at the end of October.

The band marked its 20th year in 2019 and has cemented its reputation as an authentic Freddy Mercury and Queen musical tribute act. They present an award-winning and energetic stage set that has been entertaining audiences in the UK, and as far afield as Dubai.

It is a choreographed production with flamboyant costumes, specialist lighting and a much-praised performance by Joseph Lee Jackson starring as Freddie Mercury. This is combined with professional musicianship, harmonies and the distinctive guitar playing of Glen Scrimshaw representing Brian May.

It should appeal to a broad spectrum of people, from original fans to those from a younger generation. The audience is taken on a journey through classic Queen songs, like We Are the Champions, We Will Rock You, Radio Ga Ga, and of course Bohemian Rhapsody.

In 2009, the band performed at the unveiling of a memorial to Freddie Mercury in Feltham, West London, doing so in the presence of Brian May and Freddie’s family.

Tickets cost between £22.50 and £24.50, inclusive of a £1.50 venue levy. Graphic design can make a valuable contribution to the staging of a musical or theatrical event like this.

Mercury has a starting time of 7:30pm on Friday, October 29 at The Corn Exchange, Kings Lynn.
