A Heritage Open Day will be held in King's Lynn later this month to showcase the town’s history.
This an annual historical event that affords an opportunity to discover more about King’s Lynn’s historic buildings and to participate in a national celebration of England’s local history and architecture.
The King’s Lynn Civic Society, along with English Heritage, is working in conjunction with the King's Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council, the Red Badge Town Guides, local businesses, residents and friends groups. Together they have arranged a programme enabling people to visit houses, gardens, offices, chapels, churches, chapels, tunnels and towers, including buildings that are not usually open to the public.
There will also be a series of special events, children's activities, colourful re-enactors, music and dancing, miniature trains, classic cars, boats and various exhibitions. The Heritage Open Day remains the most popular grassroots cultural event in England.
Programmes are available from the King's Lynn Tourist Information Centre, located at the Town Hall, as well as other venues in town that are participating on the day. Entry is free and visitors should be able to recognise English Heritage's distinctive Logo Design whilst looking for participating buildings and activities.
The King's Lynn Heritage Open Day will take place between 10am and 4pm on Sunday 15th September at selected venues around the town.Get a Free Quote for Logo Design
