Writer and explorer Levison Wood is due to make an appearance in King’s Lynn later this year.
The British army officer is well-known for his long walking expeditions in Asia and Africa. He will be stopping in King’s Lynn as part of his UK tour, The Art of Exploration, and he will talk about some of the truths he has discovered from life in the army and on his travels around the world.
Over a nine-month period in 2013 and 2014, Levison embarked upon the first attempt to walk the full length of the iconic Nile River, starting in Rwanda at Nyungwe Forest. This received a commission from Channel 4 for a documentary series in four parts. He also authored a Sunday Times best-seller, entitled Walking The Nile, recounting the trek.
In 2015, the explorer traversed the entire Himalayas on foot, from Afghanistan right across to Bhutan, and he has participated in many other overland expeditions. These notably have included walking across Madagascar and climbing mountains in Iraq. Levison subsequently records his journeys in Books, photographs and documentaries.
Ticket prices start at £29 and are available from the venue, as well as on Ticketmaster. Printing services can be of great value to those tasked with promoting an event like this.
Levison Wood’s The Art of Exploration will take place between 7.30pm and 9.30pm on Tuesday, 21st September at the Corn Exchange, King’s Lynn.
