The British Blues Queen, Elkie Brooks, is on 'The Long Farewell Tour' and is due to arrive in King's Lynn early in October.
Her career began over 6o years ago and has included supporting iconic groups like the Beatles, touring with The Animals, and even co-fronting the band Vinegar Joe with Robert Palmer. She is noted for both her distinctive voice and impressive live performances, having acquired a large global fan base.
Elkie has had at least 12 UK hit singles, and indeed the Guinness Book of World Records officially acknowledges her as Britain's leading female artist for releasing 13 top 75 LPs.
In this celebration of a long career, she will be delivering many of her greatest hits, supported by a live band. These include 'Lilac Wine', 'Pearl's A Singer', and 'Fool (If You Think It's Over)', as well as some #more recent songs.
Elkie has also sold out the Royal Albert Hall and Wembley Arena and appeared at Knebworth in the 1980s with The Beach Boys and Santana.
