King's Lynn prepares to celebrate songwriter

The show ‘Carole - The Music of Carole King’, is due to be performed in King's Lynn towards the end of October.

The performance tells the story of the life and work of one of popular music's most respected and successful songwriters. It encompasses her early days in New York, from learning in the creative hothouse of the Brill Building, right through to her time in LA. The show will also cover The Troubadour Club and the rise of 70s singer-songwriters in California.

The show first debuted on tour in 2019 and is now back on the road again with a much bigger stage production. It has a cast made up of some of the UK's leading singers, musicians and dancers. In essence, the show works as a homage that takes the audience on a journey through the distinctive music that came to define an era.

There are tracks from Carole King's songbook, as well as those written by a selection of the most influential partnerships from the 50s and 60s. Music from artists such as Aretha Franklin, James Taylor, The Monkees, Dusty Springfield and Herman's Hermits will all be heard.

Tickets cost £25.50 inclusive of a booking fee. Those involved in the production of stage shows or musical events are sure to find Print shops a most useful resource for spreading the word about an event.

Carole - The Music of Carole King has a starting time of 7:30pm on Wednesday, October 26 at The Corn Exchange, King's Lynn.
