The stage show ‘Midnight Train to Georgia - A Celebration of Gladys Knight’ is on tour and due to give a performance in King's Lynn at the beginning of March.
A native of Georgia, Knight started singing at the age of just 8 and joined the family group known as The Pips. They supported many famous R&B artists during the 1950s prior to signing with Motown. Later prefixed with Gladys Knight's name, they continued recording, having considerable success for a further three decades.
The Empress of Soul herself has 6 No.1 albums, 11 No.1 singles, 7 Grammys to her name and, in 1996, the group entered Rock and Roll's Hall of Fame. 2007 saw her receive an ELLA Award for her singing. Knight also features amongst Rolling Stone's selection of greatest-ever vocalists.
Hayley Ria Christian, with live musicians and video projections, seeks to faithfully re-create Gladys Knight's performances. This includes hits such as ‘Try To Remember/The Way We Were’, ‘License To Kill’, ‘That's What Friends Are For’, and, of course, ‘Midnight Train’.
Tickets cost £26.50 plus a booking fee. Brochure printing can often play a valuable role in the promotion of a forthcoming concert or musical event.
The stage show, Midnight Train to Georgia, has a starting time of 7.30pm on Thursday 2nd March at The Corn Exchange. King's Lynn.
