King's Lynn meets Nashville

The stage show "A Country Night in Nashville" is due to stop off in King's Lynn in the middle of November.

This show recreates the setting of a "Honky Tonk" in the centre of the city and then proceeds to take the audience on a historical musical journey. It features songs from some of country's biggest names, with hits from the likes of Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, the Chicks (previously the Dixie Chicks), and Shania Twain. These will include such popular tracks as "Crazy", "Ring of Fire", "9-5", "Follow Your Arrow", "Need You Now", "It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere" and "The Gambler", This showcasing of country music is all made possible thanks to the vocals of Dominic Halpin and the musicianship of the Hurricanes.

Country music has, in recent years, witnessed a growing interest and popularity, spearheaded by such artists as Taylor Swift, The Shires and Lady Antebellum, along with the US TV hit "Nashville". It is hoped the event will appeal to both those from a younger generation who are taking a new interest in country, and those with a lifelong appreciation of the genre.

Tickets cost £26.50 inclusive of a £1.50 venue levy. Poster printing can be an effective way of attracting the public's attention to a forthcoming show or musical event like this.

A Country Night in Nashville has a starting time of 7:30 pm on Saturday, November 20 at the Corn Exchange, King's Lynn.
