Kings Lynn Innovation Centre is ahead of schedule

A new business hub in King’s Lynn should be completed by early next year.

The centre will be located on the periphery of King’s Lynn on Nar Ouse Way. Those behind the King’s Lynn Innovation Centre (KLIC) project have the idea that it could be positive for entrepreneurship within West Norfolk. Printing services in King’s Lynn may receive a boost from the project in the future. Local council leader Nick Daubney has said:

“Successful business provides jobs, salaries and a good sense of place with strong economic growth. Supporting business, especially start up business, with excellent advice, workspace and practical assistance is essential. KLIC will be a first-class centre doing just that job.”

The construction has been made possible by funding from a wide variety of sources. The initiative as a whole has benefited from the allocation of several million pounds in backing. West Norfolk Council has provided over £1 million, while the East Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership and the Norfolk and Waveney Enterprise Service have also dug deep. Meanwhile, a loan has been made by the Growing Places Fund.

RG Carter Construction has been appointed as the contractor responsible for the work. With a steel frame finished, it has already made Plans to make an effort with regard to connecting the different floors. In addition, the business has set a firm date for dealing with roofing.
