Kings Lynn gets ready to rock

The 'Hitmakers of the 60s' show is presently on tour, and is due to arrive in Kings Lynn at the beginning of February.

This show will bring together an impressive line-up of Sixties rock and pop stars, including many of the original artists performing their hits from the period. The bill itself encompasses a broad musical spectrum.

Love Affair's Steve Ellis with his distinctive voice will be singing his big number-one 'Everlasting Love' as well as 'A Day Without Love', amongst others. He will also be joined by Vanity Fare, noted for the multi-million-seller 'Hitchin' a Ride'.

The 60s band Nashville Teens' hits include 'Hooche Coochie Man' and 'Tobacco Road'. Vocalist Ray Phillips was once asked to become Cream's lead singer, but declined. The Merseybeats ex-frontman Trevor Leeson will perform many of their iconic tracks including 'Sorrow'.

No introduction is necessary for Freddie and the Dreamers, and founder member Alan Mosca is due to deliver hits such as 'You Were Made For Me', 'I Understand' and 'I'm Telling You Now'. Mosca will also be acting as host and compare for the show.

Tickets cost £31 inclusive of a venue levy. Banner printing can be used by those engaged in the promotion of a concert or other musical event.

'The Hitmakers of the 60s’ has a start time of 7.30pm on Sunday 4 February at the Corn Exchange, King's Lynn.
