The Exam Readiness Wellbeing Workshop, presented by Kip McGrath Education and Lauren Ephithite Wellbeing Advocate, is due to be held in King's Lynn early in April.
It is widely recognised that there is enormous pressure on students these days to perform and to be at their best in exams. This pressure can occasionally trigger severe anxiety, ultimately affecting an individual's health.
This workshop seeks to look at ways of alleviating such pressures and resolving some of the more common psychological issues that can arise. It involves demonstrating how the adoption of certain strategies can encourage calmness and aid in the development of a positive mental attitude.
These strategies include advice and tips on how to lower stress and enhance confidence, in particular by utilising what is known as ‘in the moment’ techniques in order to help cope with immediate anxiety on the day of an exam. Designed specifically with children in mind, it covers both the period of revision in the run-up to as well as the actual exams.
Attendance is free, although there are only a limited number of places. Organisers recommend registering in advance to avoid disappointment. Events and workshops such as this are often publicised using flyer printing services.
The Exam Readiness Wellbeing workshop will take place between 7pm and 9pm on Wednesday 1st April at the Kip McGrath Education Centre in King's Lynn.
