King's Lynn awaits sound of laughter

Stand-up comedian Mark Steel is due to bring his 'Everything Little Thing's Gonna Be Alright' tour to King's Lynn early in April.

This comic, broadcaster, press columnist and published author started out at The Comedy Store in 1982, and went on to present BBC Radio 5's “The Mark Steel Solution” for four series.

He fronted BBC 2's “Mark Steel Lectures”, a BAFTA-nominated show, and now features regularly on BBC 1's “Have I Got News For You” There have also been appearances on BBC2's “Room 101” and “QI”.

Steel has penned several critically well-received Books, including “What's Going On” and “Reasons To Be Cheerful”, also winning the Press Awards “Columnist of the Year” back in 2015 for his column in The Independent.

He continues to tour live across the UK and during his last show, “Who Do I Think I Am?”, disclosed that his father had been a world backgammon champion.

A top five finisher in Ents24's 2016 hardest-working comedians, The Guardian describes him as:

“…a man with a passionate desire to communicate his ideas, who is also very funny.”
