The Jazz singer Clare Teal and her band are due to play a concert in King’s Lynn at the end of July.
It is Teal’s intention to popularise big bands and swing music. She initially signed in 2001 for Candid Records and released three albums. However, it was her 2004 album, titled “Don't Talk”, which achieved breakthrough momentum. It proved a jazz chart hit and featured in the UK’s Top 20.
On this occasion, she is accompanied by her seven-piece Mini Big Band. Teal performs year-long and nationwide at festivals like Salisbury and Glastonbury, along with at prestigious venues, including the Royal Albert Hall.
Teal’s past performances have included those with the Halle, the BBC Concert Orchestra and the Frankfurt Radio Big Band. In August 2017, Teal presented the BBC Prom Concert “Swing No End”, celebrating the stars and sounds of the 30s and 40s.
There have also been musical collaborations between Teal and Van Morrison, along with Gregory Porter, and she previously opened at Kenwood House for Liza Minnelli. Teal has received many accolades, including winning British Jazz Singer of the Year five times, the last time being in 2017.
Tickets for the upcoming performance range in price from £10 to £25. Print shops can be a useful resource when preparing for a forthcoming concert or musical event like this.
The Clare Teal Seven concert has a starting time of 7.30pm on Wednesday, 27th July at The Corn Exchange, King’s Lynn.
