After securing a grant of £60,000 from the government’s innovation agency, Innovate UK, the new and promising Lynn and West Norfolk Productivity Club has been firmly established in Kings Lynn.
The aims of this consortium is to offer free advice, support and mentoring to small and medium-sized businesses across West Norfolk in an effort to increase their productivity and overall success.
To begin with, the club is welcoming applications from local businesses in the SME manufacturing and service sector. It Plans to commence its innovative scheme in March for an initial period of three months.
Steven Palmer, the director of WLP, one of the companies collaborating on the project, is excited by the opportunities which this funding has provided, stating that:
“[it] will be used to prove that some of the typical barriers that management teams face when trying to improve their operational performance and productivity can be overcome with appropriate support and mentoring.”
In order to integrate into the community, new business ventures, such as the Productivity Club, may require effective promotion. This can be achieved through the creation and circulation of a brand and identity, which can be featured on various items from Letterheads to Business Cards.
Businesses can now apply to be members of the Productivity Club, which meets at the College of West Anglia.
