As part of its European partnership with the town of Amiens in northern France, Kings Lynn received a £400,000 grant to overhaul public green space in the region with the help of the visiting experts.
One of the gardeners, Sarah Kassler, spoke about the project, saying:
“We want to improve under-used spaces. We want it to be useful; it should be beautiful in the summer and people will be able to come and sit here."
The cabinet member for health and wellbeing, Liz Nockolds, said:
“People have enjoyed seeing different landscapes and gardeners. There were several pockets in King’s Lynn which needed improving but we would never have dreamt of this type of design. They are so interesting and have allowed King’s Lynn to be a more interesting place to visit.”
The councils and tourism boards in Norfolk are often looking for new ways to attract visitors to the region. Attractive parks and other local amenities are usually promoted using Posters or Flyers which have been created by professional printing companies that offer services like leaflet printing.
Kings Lynn residents can now look forward to enjoying a relaxing summer in the newly landscaped park areas. Norfolk gardeners have returned the favour in Amiens by sending over a team of landscapers to provide a little British influence on the other side of the Channel.
