The well-known explorer Levison Wood is embarking on a UK theatre tour 'Walking the World: A Life of Exploration and Adventure', and is due to appear in King's Lynn towards the end of May.
This traveller, author and television presenter served as a Major in the British Army for 13 years. He has visited more than 100 countries, and in the show relates stories from his adventures covering two decades.
His audience will be taken on a visual journey that includes 'Walking the Nile', the Himalayas’ icy peaks and Arabia's deserts. Wood will also highlight moves to protect species at risk across several continents.

He will also discuss how his time in the military, photography and being a journalist have all influenced him.
This celebration of travel should inspire both seasoned travellers and novices alike. His latest book 'The Great Tree Story: How Forests Have Shaped Our World' is due for publication soon.
