Drama course to be held in King's Lynn

The National Youth Theatre is due to hold an intensive Two Day Bitesize Drama Course in King's Lynn early in August.

It is aimed at young people in the age category 14-17, based in the West Norfolk area with an interest in performing. The sessions are open to all individuals who want to sample acting classes and gain an insight into the workings and learning more about the opportunities available at the National Youth Theatre.

Delivered by a leading professional and aided by an NYT assistant, this open-access course offers a good initial platform. It can be used to develop new performance skills, acquire sound acting experience, build up self-confidence and meet similarly minded people, or to simply try out something new.

Anyone is welcome to come along, as previous experience is not a requirement, but with only a limited number of spaces, 25 in total, booking early is advisable. It can be seen as valuable preparation for the company's 2021 intake auditions.

These taster sessions are free, receiving financial support from the Big Lottery Fund and the Department for Digital Culture and Media. Printing services can be a useful promotional tool when it comes to artistic activities.

The National Youth Theatre's Two Day Bitesize Drama Course will take place between 10am and 5pm on Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th August at Discovery Centre in King's Lynn.
