Business start-up workshop to take place in Kings Lynn

The First Steps to Start-Up workshop will take place in King's Lynn at the end of January.

This event is organised by Norfolk and Waveney Enterprise Services (NWES) and is aimed at new businesses and those in operation for less than a year, who live or trade in Norfolk and Suffolk area. The two-day workshop is an opportunity for experienced, and professional trainers to help participants understand the difficulties involved in getting up and running, thus providing a solid foundation on which to develop a viable business.

It will look at key areas, in particular, the important topic of business finance. The course covers business structure, start-up finance and planning, names and legal practices, logos, branding and advertising, market research, and taxation, as well as social media and networking.

There will also be a chance to present individual business projections, utilising spreadsheets with the help and support of NWES trainers, these being tailored to meet the requirements of each individual business.

This course is free but those attending must commit to both days. Exchanging Business Cards is a useful way of developing commercial contacts in such learning contexts.

The ‘First Steps to Start-Up’ Two Day Workshop is due to be held between 9:30am and 4:30pm on Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th January at King's Lynn Innovation Centre.
