There has been a somewhat dramatic increase in the demand for food parcels to be given out by a local organisation in Kings Lynn; so much so, that funds are drying up to support these hand-outs. In tough economic times, families are turning to charitable organisations like the Kings Lynn Food bank to help them through these challenging times.
To help ensure that Kings Lynn Food bank are able to continue their work in giving out food parcels to those in need, a benefit concert has been arranged and will take place on Saturday 9th June at London Road Methodist Church. As with most benefit concerts, success only comes with a significant number of generous attendees, so the promotion of this concert is the key to its success. Local printing companies offering poster and flyer printing in Kings Lynn often get involved with events like this to help promote them.
One of the members of the local food bank steering group recently spoke about the rise in demand for support from the food bank, saying:
“We've seen an unprecedented demand for the service and fed over 150 local people last month. The monies raised will go towards the cost of running the Food bank including topping up supplies where we run short. I'm hoping it's going to be a really good evening.”
