60s pop star heading to Kings Lynn

The Scottish soft rock singer Lulu is currently on her Off The Record tour and is due to play King's Lynn at the beginning of May.

After starting performing at the age of just 14, the Glasgow-born artist started working with local group the Gleneagles, later renamed The Luvvers. They signed with the Decca record label and had a UK single chart success with ‘Shout’.

After going solo, she was picked up by Columbia Records and made her British film debut in To Sir With Love, for which she also sang the title song. It subsequently went to No.1 on the US Billboard Charts.

Lulu presented her own television show called Lulu Is Back In Town in the 1970s. She was also the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest in 1969 with Boom Bang-A-Bang, and later recorded the James Bond theme song for the film The Man With The Golden Gun.

The 80s was a fallow period, but the 90s saw her return to work with Take That on the hit single ‘Relight My Fire’. During the evening, Lulu will share stories and memories of working with Paul McCartney, David Bowie, the Bee Gees and many more.

Tickets range in price from £37 to £82, inclusive of a booking fee. Brochure printing can be a useful way of promoting a concert or other musical event.

Lulu's show has a starting time of 7.30pm on Thursday 4th May at The Corn Exchange, King's Lynn.
