Saskatoon berry festival blooms in Regina

For Saskatoon citizens, the season of the Saskatoon Berry is a summer highlight, one which this festival vows to mark.

Northwest of Regina in the Qu'Appelle Valley, Over the Hill Orchards and Winery is a panoramic escape from the city with breathtaking valley vistas and is the site of many events during the year, including this year's Saskatoon Berry Festival.

The Saskatoon Berry Festival will be filled with all sorts of family-oriented activities and puts a spotlight on the region’s favorite berry. Tourists will be able to wander round the vendor marketplace and taste a fantastic selection of gourmet goodies and handcrafted merchandise from local crafters and vendors.

Visitors can also book a Saskatoon pie picnic, which includes a slice of Saskatoon pie, ice cream, wine and a cheese plate in a science picnic spot looking over the valley. There will also be several crafting activities, including making mosaic garden stones and learning how to arrange your own flowers, which includes picking your own blooms for the arrangement.

Event organizers who are taking over a space used for running a business, like the Saskatoon Berry Festival, will often use banner printing to help distinguish where the event is taking place and the different stations at the event.

Saskatoon Berry Festival will be on July 19, 2025, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Over the Hill Orchards and Winery, Box 618, Lumsden. Further details, including how to book the picnic lunch, can be found on the website.
