Regina kids to get crafty with felt

Creating art with felt can be a lot of fun, and Regina families will soon be able to enjoy this activity at a branch of the city’s library system.

The Glen Elm branch has scheduled a workshop that will explore the ways felt can be used to create dynamic works of art that tell a story. Both in-person and online attendance options are available, and it is geared towards youngsters from ages 5 to 12, with parental participation strongly encouraged.

Each of the attendees will create a felt storyboard, and they will also design their own character using materials that will be supplied, though the registrants are also welcome to bring along their own materials. Those who plan on participating online are asked to contact spitman@reginalibrary.ca by no later than August 13th so they can make arrangements to pick up a kit of supplies ahead of time.

Community guides give local residents an easy way to learn about crafting classes like this one, along with any other activities on offer in the area. These publications can be prepared by area Stationery printers.

The Art Adventures - Felt Storytelling session afternoon will be on offer in Regina on August 20th at 1601 Dewdney Ave East. It will begin both in-person and online at 1:00 pm and run until 2:30 pm.
