What's Happening in Regina, SK…

Regina community invited to Winter Festival

The longest-running winter festival within the Regina region is returning for 2025.

Wascana Park is a 930-hectare urban park built around Wascana Lake. It hosts events all year long and is proud to host the annual Wascana Winter Festival.

A community favourite, the Wascana Winter Festival is designed around three key pillars to bring Canadians together: embracing art, culture, and sports and recreation. The festival has both indoor and outdoor activities, such as staking on the Legislative Landing on Wascana Lake, the ‘Karibu a Nite of drumming’ performance, sleigh rides, snow cricket, tours of the legislative buildings, live performances and cross-country skiing. Events will occur along Lakeshore Drive, Legislative Drive, Darke Hall and the Wascana Marina. When the Canadian winter becomes a bit too cold, the families that attend will be able to warm up with food and drink stations or at wind shelters and warm-up tents.

Long-standing events like the Wascana Winter Festival often develop their own brands over time. This often involves careful consideration of the event's key values and a thoughtful logo design to represent event every year and bring continuity every year it occurs.

The Wascana Winter Festival will occur throughout the Family Day long weekend in February at Wascana Park, located at Wascana Pkwy, Regina, SK S4S 6L9. For more details, visit the event website.
