Country music fest coming to Regina area

The Country Thunder touring festival will be making its stop outside of Regina this July for a weekend of camping and country music.

The outdoor festival includes some major names across four days. The festival will kick off with a late-night Thursday show by Canadian musician Chad Brownlee. Friday will feature a full day of shows including performances by Tanya Tucker, Lee Brice, and Lindsay Ell. Saturday night’s shows will be headlined by Morgan Wallen and Hardy. The final night will conclude with veteran country hitmaker Blake Shelton supported by Laura Alaina, The Washboard Union, and more. The event is designed to bring in country fans and campers alike from cities such as Regina and Saskatoon.

The festival is designed to be approachable for people to come for a single night or the whole weekend, with space for RVs and trailers on the concert grounds. Country Thunder is a touring festival which also makes stops in Alberta and a number of US states from Iowa to Florida. The event aims to be a family-friendly experience, with children under 10 admitted free alongside adult ticket-holders. Outdoor festivals such as these are popular summer destinations, often using tools like flyer printing and social media to attract visitors.

Country Thunder Saskatchewan will take place at Qu’Appelle Valley from July 8 to 11.
