Workshop to welcome Stoney Creeks green thumbs
Whether planning a garden for a front yard or just a small pot for a balcony, Stoney Creek’s budding green thumbs are invited to register for a virtual event.
The Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG) will be offering a presentation that will provide tips and tricks for making the most of any garden plot. All that is needed to participate is a computer, tablet or phone and an internet connection. Tickets for the function start at $6 for RGB members and $18 for the general public.
The activity, which is being offered as part of the RBG Speaker Series, will provide a wealth of insight that can transform a lawn or other space into a colourful garden. Tips for plant selection and care will be included, and everyone is welcome to ask any questions they have. The facilitator for the function will be author Tara Nolan, and the session will begin at 7:00pm.
Hosting an online event like this is one way for a not-for-profit group to continue to service the community. Hard copy versions of the presentation and other materials can be prepared for pick up, and these can be sourced from local print shops.
