Upcoming festival to raise funds for local charities

The Oh Canada Waterdown Ribfest is set to take place at the end of this month and will run for four days. It is presented by the Rotary Clubs of Flamborough AM and Waterdown.

Several ribbers will be serving samples of their food and other food vendors will also be on hand to serve the public. The Business Village VIP tent will offer guests appetizers, a rib dinner, two drinks and covered seating; tickets are $50 each.

Local businesses will be selling items at the Rotary Marketplace, a family movie will be shown on July 2 and entertainment will be provided by Little Ray’s Reptile Show and the Six Nations Sky Dancers. The Dream Centre Family Fun Zone will have lots of activities including a coloring contest, giant games such as Jenga and on-stage entertainment.

Music will be provided by Harvest Moon, Cutler Boyd and Kerosene Creek. Special activities are planned for Canada Day including a fireworks display at 10:00 PM.

Families from all over the area, including nearby Stoney Creek, will likely be interested in attending the festival. To spread the word, organizers often invest in flyer printing services.

The Oh Canada Waterdown Ribfest will be held at Memorial Park from June 30 to July 3. Admission is free of charge. To learn more, visit the official event website.
