What's Happening in Stoney Creek, ON…

The art of soup making to be celebrated in Hamilton

The residents of Hamilton will be given the opportunity to taste a range of different soups when Soupfest comes to the area in February.

Soupfest is a fundraiser to assist youth at risk in the community of Hamilton and the surrounding areas. At the fundraiser, guests will enjoy some of the best soup recipes in the region. This great family event will be a good opportunity for families to share some quality time over a delicious meal, while at the same time supporting a great cause. Poster printing may have been used to promote the fundraising event to the people in this community and the neighbouring areas.

A host of the region’s best restaurants are set to put forward their best recipes for attendees to enjoy. The soup will be served by a number of celebrities and guests will have the chance to meet and chat with them. After sampling the soups, guests will be able to vote for their favorite soups.

Tickets for this event are available from Living Rock and First Ontario Branches located in Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Oakville, and Burlington. All proceeds raised from the fundraiser will go towards the 900 meals Living Rock prepares each week, as well as the emergency foods supplied to 200 young people every week. The organization also offers parenting support, pre-natal classes, and support housing, as well as employment training and jobs.

Soupfest will be held on Wednesday February 6th at the Hamilton Convention Centre in Hamilton, Ontario. For more information, visit the Living Rock website or call the office at 905-528-7625 during business hours.
