Stoney Creek’s Battlefield Park will be the place to be this fall for a day of fun that will celebrate all things apple.
Apples are a fruit crop grown in the local area, and the upcoming Apple Festival will put them front and centre. There will be lots of treats on offer that feature this fruit, as well as plenty of other fun to be had.
The Apple Festival will open with a pancake breakfast, courtesy of the Stoney Creek Lions Club, and after this, the festivities will begin. The kids can enjoy a selection of activities planned with them in mind, and these include crafts, a variety of games and the chance to win a prize. Battlefield Park’s monument and historic property will be open for tours, so long as the weather permits, and admission to the venue will be free. Separate tickets must be purchased for the breakfast and children's area.
Hosting an event like this one outdoors provides a way to take advantage of the pleasant weather of early fall. Banners can be useful for such events, and banner printing services can be obtained from local Print shops.
This event, which promises to bring bushels of fun to Stoney Creek, will take place on Saturday, September 28th. The breakfast will be served starting at 9:00 am.
