Early December will see the return of a well-loved Stoney Creek tradition, and it will be filled with fun for the whole family.
The annual Santa Claus Parade, a volunteer-run event, will soon be returning for 2024. It will make its way along King Street, and it's scheduled for the afternoon.
Families are encouraged to bundle up and line the parade route, and there will be marchers, floats and lots of other fun. Santa himself will be the special guest of honour, and its organizers explain that they greatly appreciate the financial and other support provided by the area's corporate community.
To help make the function a true community event, the Stoney Creek Lions Club will be hosting its annual food drive during the parade. These volunteers will be pushing shopping carts along the route, and everyone is asked to be as generous as they can when they make their donation of non-perishable food. These will be passed along to the Stoney Creek Food Bank.
