What's Happening in Stoney Creek, ON…

Stoney Creek residents asked to support local craftspeople

Residents of Stoney Creek and the rest of Hamilton as well, are invited to come to a celebration of handmade items from the local region and all across the country.

Etsy will be hosting its Makelogy: Made in Canada Fair. Members of the public will be able to browse through a selection of items that have been carefully chosen for their unique flair, and will be able to find treasures that are not available at stores selling mass–produced or fast fashion goods. There will be handmade clothing, jewelry, soaps, toys, textiles, bags and home decor.

The event has been planned so that people can add to their own personal collection or get a jumpstart on their shopping for the upcoming holiday season, all while supporting local artisans and small business people. A printer can prepare digital business cards for those who sell their handcrafted item at events such as this so that customers will be able to contact them in the future

The event will take place on September 24 at the Hamilton Museum of Steam & Technology. It will be spread throughout three historic buildings, and admission for the day has been set at $5 each. For those who wish to park onsite, it will cost $3, while a shuttle service will be provided from the free parking area.
