A branch of the Hamilton Public Library System located in Stoney Creek serves members of the public in a variety of ways, and those who would like to add some new items to their flower, veggie or other garden beds are welcome to attend an activity planned for next month.
The Valley Park Branch of the library will be setting up its Plant Exchange event in its Program Room A, and it will be for those aged 18 and up. Both newbie and experienced green thumbs are encouraged to participate, and the swap is set to be open for one hour.
Everyone who would like to attend can bring along their healthy rooted cuttings, bulbs or plants to the exchange, and in return they can take some new ones home. The planners have noted that outdoor native plants will be especially welcome. They can also meet other gardeners and share tips and success stories.
Libraries and other community hubs that would like to promote an event like this to the public may find that poster printing companies can help them to do so, both effectively and economically.
The Valley Park Branch will be hosting its Plant Exchange event on Saturday, June 10th. It will begin at 10:30 am, and advanced registrations do not need to be made.
